I have a question for a possible section in a future Ilovemarketing.com podcast episode.  Our company does about 6 trade shows a year.  How can I design the trade show booth to make it a DRM booth with the look and feel and materials that we hand out?  I’m kind of thinking of treating it like Dean’s “one option” landing page where I only have one action they can take after stopping by the booth.  Thanks.

    Hi Trevor,
I hope you don’t mind if I share.
I recently (Sunday this week)used our trade show stand to just ‘build a list’ so Activator step 2, I used postcards around the show to direct people to our stand with a ‘free report warning’ type postcard and our stand number as the place to come for it. Then at the stand we had a prize draw entry and the report which we gave out in exchange for the prospects email address. As a bonus, we gave away a voucher for our goods attached to the report to act as more incentive to order once they had read the report. So we collected 72 new emails on the day (pretty good compared to the same show last year), they have our free report in hard copy, they will get a soft copy via email as soon as they are entered into the system and then we’ll start with the interactive emails to build the education and motivation.
    hope this helps Trevor.
    Cheers
    Richard

This 2nd part of the 3 email series podcast was amazing. Completely changed paradigm to really get dialogue path, and not just broadcast, broadcast, broadcast! Love the quadrant model and envisioning the “bundle of leads” and the different paths needed to build out for each quadrant.

Best line of podcast to date was Dean’s imagined scenario of a prospect materializing and considering “what’s the treasure on the other side”, even better, was Joe’s perfectly timed and toned response “and what is that treasure” and the best was Dean’s dead-pan “their selfish desires!” Classic. I couldn’t stop laughing! You guys have an unmatched combo of education and entertainment. Thank you so much.
