    Joe thanks so much for sharing this great interview with Brian on Direct Marketing and Direct Mail. I loved how you two talked about many marketers today call themselves “Internet Marketers” when that is just one medium of marketing. There were many great nuggets throughout the interview that I will be watching it a few more times.
    The wheels are turning and I am thinking of how to incorporate Direct Mail and offline direct response marketing for my business and my clients.

    Hi Joe, thanks for another great interview. Listening to you and Brian talking about direct marketing really got my brain ticking and I’ve now come up with 3 or 4 simple ways I’m going to incorporate it into my business to see what impact it has. I’m looking forward to the follow up interviews with Brian you promised, particularly the information about setting up and maximising your funnel and segmenting the messages you send to customers who have bought from you multiple times versus prospects etc.

I absolutely LOVE this discussion as it shows something fundamentally true about marketing: when done correctly and as a process almost any medium can be successful. Direct marketing offers huge advantages for small businesses today but all to often they are blinded by the shiny objects of social media and technology. While I am for all forms of communication and marketing, your discussion showcases the importance of strategy and thinking through the entire communication cycle in order to be successful. Well done!
